The Mummy

Not quite make-up, more part of the tech effects department. This mummy was created for a tragic theatre play performed at the Art Theatre of Cambridge. It took me four weeks to complete it with the help of two colleagues. The mummy was sculpted in clay, moulded into fibreglass moulds which were then coated on the inside with liquid latex, screwed together and filled with J-foam, creating a solid semi-soft corpse. I used Liqudex paints to paint it, added false fingernails and crepe hair and dirtied it down with mud for a realistic look.
