Casualty Effects
In order to create realistic-looking casualty make-up I have researched some medical information. There are many books and websites which present graphic, somewhat sickening casualty images which give me an idea of what cuts and wounds should really look like so I can created convincing pieces. On this page there are samples of rather subtle effects such as a healing old scar, moving on to slightly more harsh images of a slit throat, or a drunk driver I did for "Wreckt", a drink-driving campaign, where I broke the nose and damaged the blood vessels around the eyes. Finally you can see the bloodcurdling production of a WW2 landmine casualty created by sculpting the stump and foaming hand-made plaster moulds. Not for the faint of heart.
