Bodypainting Competition

On December 11th 2006 they held the first ever body painting competition in Israel. 19 make-up artists from all over the country gathered in a huge complex in Tel-Aviv in order to express their own interpretation to the concept of 'Creation'. I based my piece on the phrase "Ashes to ashes", presenting the creation of man from earth, through the anatomic structure of the human body to the creation of the artificial being, the robot. I also added a touch of Frankenstein’s work, who created a person by stitching body parts together. The whole piece took me six hours to complete, with help from an assistant. After presenting the masterpieces on stage in front of a large audience, and after a long, nail-biting wait, it was announced by the judges that I won 1st prize.
